Harlene is focused and passionate about helping those who have been injured through no fault of their own. She is inspired by her clients who battle through pain, inconvenience, and tragedy caused by the negligence of others. Harlene fights to make a difference, take away the burden of worry and stress, and ensure her clients are fully compensated. She is fierce, does not shy away from a fight, and zealously advocates for each client, no matter the size of the case. She cares about her clients and strategizes with her team about each client. Harlene works tirelessly to earn each client the justice they deserve, which quickly gains her the respect and friendship of her clients.

Harlene is a water-lover and was a competitive swimmer. She attributes her focus, concentration, and goal mindedness to the chlorine training. Harlene explains that swimmers can handle a little pain, manage full schedules, and are crazy dedicated to individually beating their own records while simultaneously focusing on the overall team wins.  When in court, Harlene puts these swimming skills to work by being quick off the starting block, streamlined fast and accurate with each stroke, calculating laps, preparing for and changing linear power and energy into the flip turn to bounce in another direction.

Harlene obtained an Associate’ Degree as a Paralegal in the early 1990s. She spent countless hours preparing and assisting attorneys in personal injury trials and digging through case law in the law library. This time in the trenches gave her valuable insight into a variety of personal injury and wrongful death cases. She understands the concerns of her injured clients.  She earned a Bachelor’s Degree at the State University of New York at Albany, graduating with a 4.0 GPA and high honors. She always desired to become a lawyer and is so grateful for Nashville School of Law. In 2013, she earned a J.D. at Nashville School of Law, while working full time for a large personal injury law firm and raising a family.  That same year, Harlene became a Rule 31 Listed Mediator, enabling her to fine tune and perfect her negotiation strategies.

Harlene spends much of her time taking care of her clients, studying Trial Guides resources, but when it’s time to play, you’ll find her in or near the water.  She prefers the amazing lakes of Tennessee, no salt and no sharks! She also enjoys hiking, climbing, and four-wheeling with her family. Harlene loves dogs and has three goofy-amazing rescues.
